Efes Kazakhstan – Professional courses for Ana Uyi shelter’s residents

Promoting the prevention of social orphanhood and reduce the number of children who annually end up in orphanages.

The purpose and objectives of the project:

The goal of the project is to promote the prevention of social orphanhood and reduce the number of children who annually end up in orphanages. “Mom’s House” is a place for women in late pregnancy and with newborn children who find themselves in a difficult life situation. The organization offers women housing, food, medical care, everything necessary for life in conditions as close as possible to home for up to 6 months. Specialists work with the wards to help her overcome the crisis, believe in herself and become a confident and responsible mother for her child.

Implementation of the project:

Efes Kazakhstan supports the project by financing business trainings for shelters residents in high-demand areas such as children’s massage, make-up artist, SMM specialist, pastry chef, beauty salon master, 1C trade and warehouse, cook of European and National cuisine, hairdresser. 5 mln. KZT is provided annually. In cooperation with the Ana Uyi shelter the list of trainings is set and financed by Efes Kazakhstan. The residents attend the trainings and get certificates which help them to find a job and make a living independently.    

Results:

In 2022 40 young mothers were awarded with relevant certificates that helped majority of them to find jobs right after completion of the training. The project continues in 2023.
