METRO Kazakhstan – Employee Psychological Support Programme
Providing employees with psychological support to improve their mental health and stability / developing their professional and personal qualities.
The purpose and objectives of the project:
The January events (at the beginning of 2022) negatively affected the sense of stability among our employees. For this reason, the Psychological Support Programme was launched.
Objective: providing employees with psychological support to improve their mental health and stability / developing their professional and personal qualities.
Implementation of the project:
During a tender, our choice turned to Wellbeing, a Ukrainian service. All the service specialists have a relevant professional education and a work experience of at least 10 years. The counselling sessions were in the Kazakh and Russian languages. Еmployees had access to 20 sessions per year.
Project duration: 14 months All the counselling sessions were conducted in strict confidentiality; the company received only information on the number of sessions and the topic of requests. The Top 3 topics the specialists worked on are personal relationships, work relationships and personal development.
Results:
A total of 940 counselling sessions were conducted.
A total of 202 people received a psychologist’s help and a life coach’s counselling.
According to the employees’ feedbacks, the Programme participants have strengthened their inner resistance to changes, improved their relations with colleagues and loved ones, and identified areas for their professional growth.
